1969 Chevelle SS 396 - Just in is this very nice and real Super Sport car. It has an older restoration that looks fresh and new. The body appears to be all original and is super solid, straight and clean. I could not detect any replacement panels including the floors or trunk. The paint looks like it could be lacquer; it has a deep lustrous shine that looks great. Even most of the chrome and weatherstripping still looks new. The interior is in nice condition too. It has original bucket seats w/console. The carpet, headliner and door panels are all in great condition and look new and everything works as it should such as lights, t/s, wipers, and heater. The engine is a super strong running, correct JA code for manual trans in a SS Chevelle 396ci/325hp. We can not read the remaining numbers to see if it's numbers matching but we were told by previous owners it was. It was supposed to have been recently rebuilt but I have no paperwork to back it up. I did; however, pull the valve covers to check things out and the heads looked fresh and clean. It has a real healthy sounding hydraulic cam, aluminum intake and Holley carb, and 2.5'' Flowmaster exhaust. The trans is a M-21 4 speed that shifts smooth and the clutch feels tight. The rear is a 12 bolt posi w/ 3:73 gears. The car has power steering and power disc brakes and original Super Sport wheels w/B.F.Goodrich T/A radial tires. This SS 396 Chevelle is truly a nice car that looks, runs, and drives exactly the way you would expect it to. No surprises and you will not be disappointed.
