1969 Chevelle Convertible SS 396 Re-creation - Just completed and fresh out of our restoration shop is this beautiful Chevelle convertible.  We took a very nice running/driving big block Chevelle “Malibu” convertible that only needed a paint job and decided to re-create, at least cosmetically, it into a Super Sport. To start off with the body is very straight, solid and clean and the floors, frame and trunk are all in good original condition. The Ruby Red PPG bc/cc paint is show quality, and has a brilliant shine and deep luster. We also replaced new all the chrome and weatherstripping. The manual convertible top is in like new condition and the rear glass is clear. The interior is in very nice condition and everything works as it should such as the lights, wipers, etc. The engine is a sweet sounding, strong running 427c.i. / 390h.p. big block. It is basically stock including the cast iron intake and q-jet carb. It also has original exhaust manifolds but has that distinct ''big block'' rumble through the new 2.5'' Flowmaster mufflers and exhaust. The trans is a crisp shifting TH-350 and the rear is the original 10 bolt w/3:23 gears. Some other nice features are power steering and power disc brakes and 15'' super sport rally wheels w/ newer B.F. GOODRICH T/A radial tires. We feel as though we did a pretty nice job re-creating a Super Sport Chevelle but it was pretty easy when you start off with a nice car like this one. 1969 Chevelle Convertibles are extremely rare and hard to find so take advantage of this opportunity. They do not come around very often especially at this more than reasonable price.
